It’s been a while since I’ve updated my blog and as it is such a long time, let me present you the food trinity of Penang! Yes, the Asam Laksa, Cendol and Char Kway Teow. I was in Penang in early April and get to savour the best of these foods in town, all thanks to my bro-in-law, who knew the place so well. Well, he can be a postman there.
If you love asam laksa, Im sure you will know the best is surely came from Air Itam. The soup was so thick with fish meat, thick prawn sauce and the dunno-what-ingredients they put, which makes you think of nothing but just eat and eat and wanting a second helping. The smell of the asam laksa was so great that you can get lost at the tiny corner in the market there.

Thumbs up! I give it a 10 out of 10…and eagerly wanted to go back there again for another 2 bowls!!
Wanted to refresh yourself in the hot afternoon? Try the cendol at a ‘lorong’ (lane) facing Penang Road in GeorgeTown. It’s brimming with crowd on a sunday afternoon and it’s really a long waiting time before you can have the chance to sip the coconut milk delicacy! Well, again, i think this is the best in town and maybe, the country.

| Looks ordinary but tasted extraordinary |
And last but not least, pay a visit to this old kopitiam at the corner of Macalister Road. It kinda worn out but don’t get intimidated by it. It served one of the best kway teow in penang and has been in operations for many long years!! Operated by two sisters, though there’s not much crowd when we were there, it took quite long to dish up the perfect kway teow.

| hmm…yummy !! There are white crab meat slices on top. |
Of course there are others great food in Penang like Nasi Kandar, chee cheong fun and etc, but I believe these are the top ones which is worth a try!
