Salmon Steak – I like the presentation. It took a while for them to prepare the meal, probably been focusing on the outlook?

Here’s a quick snap of the interior. Quite a nice place for a chat, have a beer or coffee to wind down the day. This station 1 cafe is located at Taman Tun Aminah. There are few outlets in JB like Taman Molek, Bukit Indah and etc. Here’s their website.

Ok, here’s the food…..

Mini Buddha Jump Over The Wall – soup boiled with scallop, shark fins, mushrooms…etc. Gives us  the energy to makan the rest of the food …LOL

Crispy Suckling Piglet Skin – The skin is very crispy and it’s great to wrapped it in a pau(below) after dipping into the black plum sauce.

Dynasty’s Four Combinations – assorted food from the eatery.

Special Braised Estuary Grouper – One of the best dishes for the night. The fish meat is very tasty and fully absorbed the aroma of the gravy, which was nicely done!

Stir Fried Lily Bulb with Ginger, Spring Onion And Mushroom

Stir Fried Piglet with Soya Sauce – which was cooked from the suckling piglet, after all the ‘skins’ are eaten.

Phoenix Golden Rice – Surprisingly, this is good too. I had two bowls of the vermicilli after all the food above! It’s so nicely fried  and delicious!

Sweet Fancy Duets – the yellow kuih sorta like ‘malai kou’ (cantonese) with pandan kaya spread. I love it too!

Next, is the ‘kopi’. I witnessed the entire process of the coffee-making. Saw them putting in the coffee beans into the coffee grinder …. took out the powder, put it and stirred it in a big ‘coffee-pot’. And there goes the kopi-man, doing a few stunts of kopi-tarek until he took out the long filter and skillfully pour the coffee via the filter onto the small cup, while coffee bubbles are created.

The coffee is great…possesses nice aromatic smell and not too sweet and bitter. Just nice for me!

Here’s a look at the shop, where the decors are a bit nostalgic. Very typical ‘modern’ kopitiams indeed.

If you happened to be there, do try their H.K. fried chicken. It’s very crispy and delicious. Dipped it in the sauce and you can’t help finishing the entire plate of appetizer! Cost – RM8.90

I had Beef with Shanghai Style Vegetable Rice. The beef slices are tender, slightly wet with gravy and it’s really quite a big bowl. I was very full after I finished the bowl. Cost – RM6.90

Their French Fried Rice is quite good and it’s also a big serving. It’s more likely catered to two persons. Cost – RM8.90

This is something special to me, Honey Chrysanthemum tea. It’s came with a nice presentation of four small glassy tea cups. Good for digestion and relax the night away.

I had a Hong Kong style Tea too, which is popular in HK restaurant. Cost – RM2.50

Another attraction of this eatery is that they have wi-fi, thus you can sip the coffee or tea while surfing!

Ok, here’s a start to the day, I had a great breakfast at Lavender’s Bistro. It’s been a while since I had a breakfast there and it’s great to be back. I simply loved their Healthy Breakfast set, especially the raisin wheatbread.

And, I’m sure I can’t start my day without a freshly brewed coffee- here’s Americano.

Come dinner, I have a craving for Japanese food and thought it’s a good idea to get some bites on sushis. Here’s a plate  – jellyfish, crab, salmon…….

Miso Ramen, that’s what my wife ordered. I simply like their miso soup which is so appetising. Well, in my opinion, the best ramen are the Japanese type (my opinion only )

Here’s what I had – Udon.It actually comes with a set of chawanmushi, a plate of sushi and fruits. I don’t quite prefered Udon due to it’s thick noodle but since ramen is ordered, I decided to have it.

And, here’s my favourite – more sushi!!

A place designed for nature lovers …there’s a small, shallow pond in front with koi fishes. Nice place to snap pictures.

At the side of the cafe, there was another garden and pond which was designed like a ‘pak kua’. Wonder if this is good ‘feng shui’?

OK, here’s the food… Pesto Pasta. (RM8.80). It’s pasta but tasted differently from the typical italian pastas. They sprinkle some sort of herbs on it and it tastes good with the olive oil. Very healthy indeed!

‘Tempeh’ Cutlet (RM4.80) – This is very special and first time I ever tried it this way. ‘Tempeh’ is made from fermented soyabeans. Click here to find out more about tempeh. It was very delicious indeed when dipped into the sauce.

Mushroom soup – Rm6.80. This mushroom soup is no campbell’s tin product but it’s freshly made. You can ‘feel’ the freshness as it was not salty like those found in the tin.

Vegetable dumplings with Shanghai noodle soup – RM8.80.

Americano – Rm4.80 – Can’t end a meal without a coffee

Here’s a snap of the front of the cafe and shop. The entire building is call ‘Beethoven’ and thus, the big ‘B’ there!

Bo Cafe is located at – 8, Jalan Mutiara 7, Kawasan Perindustrian Plentong, JB

The place looks like any typical kopitiams, and usually crowded with coffee lovers or patrons who just want to chat and de-stress the afternoon away.

Here’s a good choice – spread the pandan kaya over a kuih ( I can’t remember the name of this kuih…dunno what ‘pulut’, but I love it)

And, here’s the toasts. The kaya are so good that I ordered another plate of taosts. It’s also crunchy as it’s just came out fresh from the charcoal grilled pit. And, not forgetting the freshly brewed coffee!

It’s also kinda difficult to locate this kopitiam in Taman Perling which it can be easily go unnoticed, though it can be seen from the main road.

Toast ‘N’ Toast is located at – 619, Jalan Persiaran Perling Satu, JB

This kopitiam is quite well-known throughout Malaysia, probably thanks to the publicities of the press. When I was there at around tea time on a saturday afternoon, the place was very crowded. Anyway, we still managed to find some seats.

I think their nasi lemak is good and since I’m sort of hungry, I decided to order the plain nasi lemak. (Just sambal belacan, egg and ikan bilis). There are other varieties of nasi lemak, like those with fried chicken but I preferred the simple type. After all, I just want to taste the sambal.

When you’re in a kopitiam, never ever forget to order their toasts. At least, get 2 pieces of it to try. Their toasts were good and the bread was very crunchy! I love the kaya filling!

And, everything wouldn’t taste good without their famous Kluang Raiway coffee. This makes my afternoon at a peaceful little town!
