I was curious to check out this newly opened Nando’s eatery in JB. Well, being not a KL folk, I have never tried any Nando’s before till it opened an outlet in theย  southern state.

It’s just a small restaurant located at level 1 in Pelangi Plaza but it do attracted quite a crowd on a cloudy saturday afternoon. It’s halal too,ย  thus not a problem with our muslims friends.

I somehow like the way they arrange the condiments and sauces neatly.

A closer shot of one of my favorite sauce, garlic! it’s spicy anyway…13122008429

Like Kenny Rogers Roasters, their main dish is their roasted chicken, which comes in 1/4, 1/2 or full chicken.ย  You can chose two side dishes to go with it. Verdict:- Their roasted chicken is much better than Kenny Rogers! ๐Ÿ™‚

I also ordered a mushroom soup (oops..spilled out a bit) which comes with garlic bread for appetizer. The soup was great but it’s a bit spicy.

And, here’s the ultimate dish- their newly promoted Peri KickStarter.ย  It’s actually a platter of what they served there. I especially love the sausages and the pita. Great dish if you like to sample their food but the plate is not really meant for one person. I have to take away some, since I can’t finish the whole plate.

Here’s a list of their outlets all over Malaysia.

My family and I were at the Pelangi Plaza on a late afternoon and decided to get something to eat. Well, it’s actually lunch+tea time. Since there’s not much variety of restaurants over there, we decided on either StoneGrill, Vivo Pizza and Secret Recipe. And, we chose the latter.

Secret Recipe is famous for its cakes. My kid (just a 3 year old toddler) chose this chocolate cheese cake from the counter and I guess it’s a good choice. ๐Ÿ™‚ The cake was heated and once done and serve, you can see the chocolate syrup flowing all the way down. yummy…..

Well, my wife and I had the usual main western set meals with traditional english breakfast tea in pot. That’s what we always ordered for tea, either a pot of earl grey or english breakfast tea. Moreover, I always asked for a refill (hehe….)

I had Chicken in turmeric sauce (as above)ย  while my wife had fish fillet in lobster sauce. Altogether it cost me Rm48.50, hmmm… up to you to decide whether that’s affordable or expensive. ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, I love the way saturdays being spent like this, rest and recreation with good food. it’s a way to reward and unwind ourselves after a tough week. ๐Ÿ™‚ And, of course, not forgetting to go for a short jog later.
