Vegetarian food

To healthy buffs and non meat-eaters, you may want to check out Merryland vegetarian restaurants in Taman Molek and Taman Permas Jaya, JB. Unlike other budgetted restaurants, this is fully air-conditioned, clean, nicely renovated and looks very ‘green’. It’s always crowded especially during dinner time where people from various races will patronised the place and savoured their specially made vegetarian mutton curry.

Yes, that was their best dish and I never failed to order it everytime I went there. The restaurant also provided western ‘vegetarian’ chicken chop, fish fillet, burgers, pizzas and struddels (first time I saw struddels in a vegetarian restaurant). There are also a lot of set meals to choose from with free drinks (i love their sour plum juice) as well as ala-carte vegetarian dishes which you can ordered.

Can it give it a try if you have had too much fatty and cholesterol rich food and like to have something lighter.

Thanks for the information about Merryland vegetarian restaurants.

I’m Australian and a lacto-ovo vegetarian and don’t find much apart from Indian (which I like) that I can eat since we’ve been here in Malaysia.

I have to say that I don’t understand the need for “pretend” meat, fish or chicken. In fact, I sometimes find this off-putting.
However, we’ll check out the Merryland restaurants.

    Best wishes.

hmm……i’m not a vegetarian so I don’t have much thoughts on this. To me, vegetarian is an healthy alternative meal for me though I do agree Chinese vegetarians likes to ‘pretend’ meat.
