Italian food in JB

Posted in food,italian food,Johor Bahru,malaysia by chrisau on September 29, 2008

It’s hardly easy to find nice Italian restaurants to dine-in here in JB except fast food outlets like pizza hut, Domino and etc. There used to be one in City Square 2nd level, which offered great pasta but it has shutdown its operation since 3-4 years ago. Well, all is not lost for pasta and pizza lovers, there’s one in Taman Pelangi. Located at the heart of the ‘taman’, where the night market was held every tuesday night, this place has quite a crowd during weekends.

Above and below, the designs a bit malaysian and a bit Italian……

Salmon Pasta in Olive oil, full of DHA and good for the heart! I especially love pasta in olive oil as compare to tomato. It’s simpler, healthier and brings out the best of the spaghetti pasta!

Here’s Baked seafood pasta…. great for cheese lovers!

And, check out a heart shape chocolate cake!!! It’s actually to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Here’s the pic:-

Ristorante &Pizzeria IL Giardino is located at 65A, Jalan Perang, Taman Pelangi.

Glad to know that you are also a Japanese food lover. I love sashimi salmons the most! I do love chawanmushi too. But I don’t know why Japanese restaurants in US doesn’t have chawanmushi, i miss it.
