Well, had a dinner in a chinese restaurant last saturday in JB for some special occasion. The place is called Tai Son Restaurant which is located at Jalan Molek 2/4, Taman Molek, JB. It’s kinda spacious restaurant serving chinese food and usually wedding dinners are held there.
Firstly, here’s the food…… fried chicken with mango slices. The chicken are fried crispy with a little spices to make it mouth watering. It’s a little bit spicy at the skin but the meat is tender.
Tofu cooked with mushroom in a delicious thick gravy, one of my favourites. Healthy and delicious!!
Brinjals cooked with mince meat with a little chilli mixed with salted fish, in claypot. Appetising!!
And, finally, a healthy steamed brocolli dish to complement the rest as well as balance the meat intake.
Well, not forgetting an ice-cream birthday cake from Robbins.
Yeap, having a small party to celebrate my sis-in-law (middle) birthday. 🙂
It was a rainy saturday afternoon and with my new camera on hand, I decided to snap some pictures of JB skyline from a nearby building. The pictures are not that clear due to the hazy effect of the rain, but do enjoy.
The MMA building and New York Hotel from afar (above and below)
Thanks to my 10x optical zoom camera, manage to zoom closer to this hotel from where I stand.
JB’s indoor stadium, where it has hosted some international badminton competitions, like the Asian Badminton Championships. Far behind is JB’s old town and Singapore.
Here’s the police HQ, looking down from a building. Taman Pelangi is far behind.
Focusing on Stulang laut (the place where Mas Selamat has landed in JB..haha..). Notice the pipes which belongs to Singapore. The Zon Hotel (formerly known as Eden) is at the centre, between two buildings.
Here’s the Metropolis tower and Selesa Hotel, at the heart of the city.
The MAA building, one of the better looking ones in the skyline.
A close shot of one of the pedestrian overhead bridge to Citibank Plaza.
And, here’s Menara Pelangi. It’s was really drizzling heavily at that time when I took this shot. 🙂
A landscape shot that shows the stadium, Police HQ and some buildings near Taman Pelangi behind.
And, taken earlier from nearby Taman Johor jaya on Hotel Dorsett. The sun was still shining then. 🙂
Well, found a new eatery here in Taman Molek , JB and this one is serving Hong Kong food. Yes, there’s really a lot of ‘char chan teng’ lately but this one is a bit …different. At least, there are lots more food here instead of those typical ones you found in ‘char chan teng’ like Nissin noodles, cheese baked rice and etc.
Nicely furnished, simple and clean, I like the place. The sofa is big enough for three adults , I believe.
Ok, here’s the food. As above is French Fried Rice which cost Rm6.90. There’s really a lot of luncheon meat and tomatos added to this big plate of rice.
Here’s one of their specialty – Roasted Honey Spare Ribs which cost RM7.90. The ribs are sweet and delicious! It was nicely roasted and marinated!
I like this, Ginger Onion Beef Rice, and it cost around Rm9.90. The ginger and gravy are just nice to mix with the rice…yummy!
Fancy trying white coffee from Hong Kong? This is my first time and well, it tasted a bit like the Ipoh Old town white coffee though. To a coffee lover like me, this is good. Cost : RM4.90
And, this Iced ‘YingYong’ (Coffee mixed with tea) tells all, it is really special….. Cost : RM3.90.
Let’s Eat Restaurant is located at – 23, Jalan Molek 2/3 Taman Molek
While running errands and sending my car for a nice shower in JB last saturday afternoon, I passed by one of my favourite kopitiams and decided to go in for a cup of coffee besides finding something to bite on. Yeah, I was hungry then and decided on something ‘light’ as it almost 5pm, thus I go for a small pack of banana leaf wrapped nasi lemak. Heated up in the microwave which was available at the kopitiam and the aroma of the banana leaf and coconut milk rice rising up and whetting up my appetite. 🙂
Nicely wrapped nasi lemak on banana leaf and half an egg…yummy…
And, not forgetting a nice cup of kopi and toasted kaya bread. In fact, Kim Kopitiam makes the best coffee in JB and it’s branches are all over JB in Taman Pelangi, Taman Permas Jaya, Taman Molek and etc.
